Michi Morioka, Japan: Among the 5 new leaders I certified recently, one happened to be my mother which really meant a lot to me. Growing up, I didn’t have the best relationship with her, and that’s a part of the reason I’ve felt such a strong desire to share Laughter Yoga with my family. While laughing, sharing ideas, playing like kids and singing with each other during the training, I could clearly feel that something between us started to change. At the end of the 2 days, for the first time in my life, I hugged her and thanked her for giving me this life. The power and magic of Laughter Yoga never cease to amaze me. I truly believe that it’s one of the simplest and most powerful ways to heal any personal relationships as well as the relationship with ourselves.
