Certified Laughter Yoga Leader Training (CLYL)

This is the next level of training after basic learning course where you will learn the facilitation skills to lead a group of people through laughter yoga session and meditation.

It is a six lesson course after the basic learning course. You can start a laughter club, lead the sessions in companies, corporations, yoga studios and offer public seminars.

Leader Training Lesson Plan

Lesson 1:

  • Introduction objectives of laughter yoga leader training
  • Basics of laughter yoga – 5 points, 3 reasons, 4 steps and 5 benefits
  • Demonstrate and lead five laughter exercises followed by student’s participation
  • Homework: Memorise five points and three reasons and record a video of five points and three reasons

Lesson 2:

  • What happens in a laughter yoga session?
  • Practice 4 steps of laughter yoga
  • Systems and procedures of laughter yoga session – how to lead a laughter yoga session effectively – Guidelines
  • Guidelines for doing laughter meditation
  • Demonstrate five more exercises followed by students’ practice
  • Homework: Record more exercises alone or with the family.

Lesson 3:

  • Concept and philosophy of laughter yoga (more in detail)
  • Do we need sense of humour to laugh?
  • How to laugh when you don’t feel like laughing?
  • How can you laugh when you are not happy?
  • Why children laugh 300-400 times and adults only 15 times?
  • Can we train ourselves to laugh?
  • Followed by five laughter exercises and students practice session
  • Homework: Record four steps of laughter yoga and a few laughter exercises giving complete instructions before initiating the laughter.

Lesson 4:

  • Essential link between Yoga and Laughter.
  • Laughter yoga – the science of breathing.
  • Scientific research on laughter yoga.
  • Followed by five laughter exercises and students’ practice session.
  • Bollywood laughter dance and short yoga nidra.
  • Homework: Record four steps of laughter yoga and a few laughter exercises giving complete instructions before initiating the laughter.

Lesson 5:

  • Health benefits of laughter yoga
  • Memorise five benefits of laughter and practice with buddy
  • Followed by five new laughter exercises and students practice session and record the instructions for laughter exercises.
  • Bollywood laughter dance followed by yoga nidra.
  • Homework: Record a video of benefits of laughter yoga.

Lesson 6:

  • What is laughter club, how to start and promote laughter club.
  • Guidelines about vision – mission of free social laughter clubs.
  • What is free and what is chargeable in laughter yoga.
  • Five new exercises followed by student's practice.
  • Practice Bollywood laughter dance
  • Homework: Make videos of more exercises either alone or with your family.

IMPORTANT: Each lesson will be of 60 minutes duration. This course is the first level of Laughter Yoga program and this is for your personal use only. If you want to teach other people, after this course you need to attend certified laughter yoga leader and teacher training courses, which are the next levels of training.

Dr.Madan Kataria from his 25 years of experience can teach you special guided techniques how to laugh all by yourself, with your family and your colleagues. Dr. Kataria is a keynote, motivational and inspirational speaker for companies, corporations and organizations all over the world. He is also a corporate consultant for holistic health, stress management, teambuilding, leadership, peak performance and communication skills.

vinayak-shastriVinayak Shastri is a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher and Master Trainer, personally trained by Dr Kataria and has assisted him in International training for seven years. He has excellent facilitation skills to conduct corporate seminars. Also, he has conducted training and workshops in Japan, Hong Kong and China.

He completed his master’s degree in traditional yoga from S-VYASA University, Bangalore India. He has conducted several online laughter yoga workshops. He has widely travelled all over India to set up free social laughter clubs and conducted seminars in prisons, schools, Indian army police and commando training centres.
