World Laughter Day Details

FREE EVENT! (Held at Yoga for Living) Laughter is a positive and powerful emotion which helps people to change themselves and to change the world in a peaceful and positive way. Laughter is a universal language which has the potential to unite humanity.

Join us in creating world peace through laughter!
2:00 – 3:00 pm ……. Laughter yoga session (see description below)
3:00 – 4:00 pm ……. Munchies, mingling, music and henna!!

Please arrive by 1:45pm so we can start promptly at 2pm

World Laughter Day is celebrated the first Sunday in May all over the world. It was created by Dr. Madan Kataria in 1998, who also founded the Laughter Yoga movement in 1995. The celebration of World Laughter Day is a positive manifestation for world peace and is intended to build up a global consciousness of unity and friendship through laughter.

Come celebrate with us, as we join thousands of others around the world, in honor of World Laughter Day!

It all starts with YOU finding joy and happiness in yourself, and sharing that with others. Join us for an uplifting, energizing afternoon of fun and connection. You’ll be smiling from the inside out!

There are no yoga poses involved and you don’t need to be flexible or funny!

Peace within you leads to peace in the home. Peace in the home leads to peace in the community. Peace in the community leads to peace in the country. Peace in the country leads to peace in the world.

What is Laughter Yoga??
Laughter Yoga is a unique concept which combines laughter, breathing exercises and playfulness. No experience is necessary, no yoga poses or need to be flexible or funny! We will be doing simple laughter exercises in a group setting, gentle movements, breathing, and lots of laughing!

Studies have shown that the body cannot differentiate between intentional and spontaneous laughter. Laughter Yoga allows you to reap the same benefits that spontaneous laughter brings to us by releasing endorphins and bringing more oxygen to the blood which helps to make us happy and healthy! All you need to bring is yourself and a willingness to have fun!

After the Laughter Yoga session, stick around for some munchies, mingling and henna by the amazingly talented, Aneeta Nashad! Aneeta is a delightful soul, and an amazing henna artist! We are blessed to have her join our event. (She’s also available for weddings, birthdays, private appointments, too)
