I am a Group-Oriented Psychotherapist, with a philosophy that includes the importance of laughter in our lives. Laughter in therapy is healing for mental, spiritual and physical health. Unique to my practice is the use of Laughter Yoga and the Creative Arts.
I began practicing Laughter Yoga 5 years ago, to help me with grief and depressive issues after losing a loved one. Within the first year of my practice, I experienced mood improvement, increased ability to cope with stress at work, became more focused, and more open to change. I began using Laughter Yoga in working with clients with Traumatic Brain Injury, and with successful outcomes. In 2012, I took training in, and became certified as a Laughter Yoga Leader and Laughter Wellness Coach.Debra corwin.
