Laughter Yoga Mission In Philippines Booming
Laughter Yoga Club of the Philippines (LYCP) marked its second founding anniversary on February 19, 2010, at Payatas A Elementary School in Quezon City. True to fulfilling its mission to help provide sanitation, it turned over to the school a submersible pump and seven rehabilitated toilets. The school, which has a student population of 6,500 and 150 teachers and administration personnel, had only three malfunctioning toilets, and, worse, no running water at all!
The presence of about 300 parents and 200 school children during the turnover rites was overwhelming. A mini Laughter Yoga session was also conducted to enliven the occasion, and spread the multi-healthy benefits that Laughter Yoga offers. Amazed and delighted, having encountered Laughter Yoga for the first time, the crowd willingly participated and did Laughter Yoga exercises to help them when feeling weak, tired, low bat, and also when angry, worried, fearful or disappointed.
The Principal, the Parents-Teachers Association President and all the teachers were duly felicitated for their selfless contribution to education and health care of children as well as enabling the Laughter Yoga Club of the Philippines accomplish its mission.

Laughter Yoga Conference In Germany A Great Success
The Laughter Yoga conference in Germany was held on May 2, 2010 on World Laughter Day. It was well attended by 220 people and 45 new highly motivated Laughter Yoga Leaders. There were brilliant speeches and workshops well covered by the press and the media.
The congress gave the visitors a lot of information, inspiration and motivation. We laughed from early morning until night. Altogether I can proudly say that this event doubtlessly brings the German Laughter Yoga Movement a big step forward. Have You Ever Danced In Your Car?
This is a part of the new initiative called the Levity Project started by Katie West, a certified Laughter Yoga teacher from USA. The Levity Project's vision is to create a society in which playing, laughter, and celebrating are the accepted norm. Our vision is to change the paradigm which prizes stress, fatigue and negativity into one of lightness, hope and buoyancy. They host public acts of levity to create a global consciousness of what a life of fun and celebration looks like in a mass. The Project engages in acts of levity for the goal of social change because, "When we change, the world around us changes." --Dr. Kataria.
They celebrated WLD in New York where people in small groups gathered at different locations in New York and traveled through the metro to meet at Times Square to laugh together. An incredible thing about this event is that it happened despite a bomb scare just a day before WLD!!! Looks like we need to plant more laughter bombs all over the world

Sometime back the Levity Project asked people from all over the world to dance for few minutes wherever they are and record the videos and send it to them. Most people danced in their cars.
