A recently published article affirms that mental health is positively enhanced by laughter.
In fact, even anticipating laughter changes the biochemistry and provides a sense of well being. According to the report the ability to laugh -- either naturally or as learned behavior has important implications in societies such as the U.S. where heart disease remains the number one killer. Interestingly, one can exercise both mind and body with Laughter Yoga which is a rapidly growing concept and teaches adults to re-learn something children already know instinctively -- that laughter makes you feel better.
