Laughter Yoga In Mexico City

On the occasion of International Happiness Day (20th March), Mexico City government organized a Laughter Yoga session on Paseo de la Reforma, which was attended by hundreds of people seeking to improve their heath through laughter.

A group of instructors led the participants in a routine that included stretching, push-ups, breathing exercises and lots of laughter together with the slogan – “When you laugh you change and when you change, the whole world changes ." Secretary of Social Development of the Government of the Federal District, Icela Rosa Rodríguez Velázquez , who took the class, said in an interview at the end of the session, "In these weeks I learned that yoga gives you a lot of encouragement , optimism, confidence and peace of mind. "

Rafaela Zaragoza, 67 and her husband, Paul Escamilla, 69, who were present at the session felt great and said that they were highly motivated to spread the word of laughter and happiness.

Laughter Yoga is one such exercise that allows everyone to laugh without jokes, humor or comedy, and one can reap the benefits of health and wellbeing by regular practice.
